Job Details:
  • Pay: $150 Hr.
  • Coverage: March 31, 25 – April 2, 2025
  • Schedule: 24hr Call Coverage, 7a-7a
  • Response time to be onsite is within 25 minutes.
  • Situations when the on-call locum OB would be called to the hospital:
    • When a patient presents to the hospital in Labor
    • patient requires a cesarean section
    • To round on patients who had cesarean and on Antepartum patients
    • If called by the Midwives (CNM), the Emergency Department or a consulting physician
    • Maternal transport from outside facility
 
  • Amount of time:
    • consultation less than 90 minutes
    • D & C one hour
    • laparoscopy/cesarean could be up to two hours.
    • trail of labor on a prior cesarean, the physician would stay until they deliver.
    • Average time onsite would generally not exceed six hours in a shift
  • Required skills:
    • Low risk pregnancy/ High risk pregnancy
    • FHR interpretation - NST/CST/FSE
    • OB Ultrasounds - Performance of, interpretation (Level I/Screening (viability)
    • Routine delivery (Vaginal, Low forceps, Decision-making for c-section)
    • Complicated delivery (C-section, Breech, Multiple births, Abruptions, VBAC's)
    • Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
    • Office/minor gynecology - IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.
    • Surgical gynecology (Open, Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only - tubal ligation, LOA's, chronal tubation, Operative/major (includes diagnostic) - ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's)
  • Patients per shift: 7-9
  • EMR: Cerner
  • Credentialing timeframe: 12-15 days
Requirements:
  • Active unrestricted NC License
  • Active AHA ACLS, BLS & PALS certifications
  • Board Certified
  • Full-time coverage is mandatory—no deviations from the requested schedule will be accepted.
  • Must be able to provide at least 2 supervisory references.
  • Clean Malpractice/Background
