Job Description
Summary: Pediatric Hospitalist for small rural community hospital for care of children from birth to 18 yo including standby for urgent/emergency C-sections as needed. Physician will be solo provider when covering. Inhouse adult hospitalists available.
Facility Location: Red Bluff, CA 96080
Setting: Small community hospital -- 70 beds
FTE: Solo pediatrician on for the 24/7 time periods.
Duties: Provide care for 0-18 yo patients. Standby/on call for emergency or complicated C-sections, ED call for pediatric patients. Required Procedures: Neonatal resuscitation. High risk or complex patients transferred to higher level of care.
EMR: Cerner
Support Staff: RN staff
Reason for Coverage: Coverage needs to fill in gaps.
Inpatient - small volumes of pediatric patients, little more for OB deliveries/newborn standbys.
Patients: 0-5 well baby; 0-2 pediatric patients C-sections: 0-2Level 1 for babies and Flex beds level for Pediatrics

I love to grill, cook, watch movies, hiking and the outdoors. I really enjoy all those things more, while doing them with my family. My goals include being a leader of a team/company, building houses in El Salvador and in Mexico for my family to retreat to, owning 26+ acres of land (in Oklahoma or Texas) with my siblings for us to enjoy and pass down to our kids and lastly, I will retire my mom.
