Setting: Inpatient (surgery, rounding, call) and outpatient (Clinic and Call)

Duties: Clinic (20 hours) M-F 9a-5p (CST), Surgery (8 hours) M-F (CST), Call 1:2 Call 24/7

EMR: EPIC

Support Staff: Front Desk and Clinical Staff

Reason for Coverage: Maternity Leave Coverage

Locum coverage needed for the Lincoln Women’s Health department in order to provide patient access, surgical coverage while physician is on maternity leave and partial coverage until a new provider joins in late summer 2023. Request would include clinic, surgical, and call requirements. Any coverage offered April – July 2023.

There are two physicians in the practice and one is on maternity leave.  Call is rotating between employed physician and locum which will include clinic call (24 hour call day).  Weekend call will also be split between locum and employed physician. Every 3rd weekend, 1 local physician will pick up weekend call. 

After hours clinic calls occur for hospital services.

Locum will rarely be called back in.  Calls entail a patient’s current health and treatment plan should they need one and notes will be given to locum the next morning of their patient.

On surgery and clinic days after hours are done, locum has admin time typically 12 hours.
